QUICKTIPS

LAVENDER

Check back...more oils to come.

Lavender

To Top

  1. CUTS - drop directly onto cuts to clean and kill germs, as well as
speed healing. Remember to reapply at least twice a day. If wearing a bandaid, remember that letting your skin breathe (at night maybe) is helpful, as well.

  2. BURNS - Minor heat/steam burns can be soothed in minutes by applying Lavender right away. If you get it in time, the lavender will prevent a blister from forming and fade the pain with its analgesic (pain killer) properties.

  3. BLEMISHES - Dab directly on a blemish before going to sleep.  You should see a noticeable difference by morning, if the blemish is even still around.

  4. VACUUMING - Place a few drops on the bag of your vacuum cleaner before vacuuming.  It'll make the job much more pleasant AND kill off those dust microbes that make some folks sneeze.

  5. MOISTURIZER -  Add to a carrier oil to help tone and moisturize the skin, especially around sensitive areas like the eyes. **Be careful not to get IN the eyes.

  6. POWDERS - Mix (by hand or use a food processor) with corn starch or clay to make body dusting powders.

  7. RELAXATION - Rub on the bottom of your feet (or better yet have someone else do this for a real treat) with some carrier oil to soothe away your day's stress.  Add to bathwater.  Place a drop or two on your pillow (or on a cottonball tucked inside your pillow) to help you really relax....zzzzzzzzzzzz.

  8. HEADACHES - Mix with equal parts of Peppermint Oil and rub on your temples/bottom of feet to help relieve headaches.

  9. ALLERGIES - diffused, Lavender has helped to clear up allergy attacks before they really got going.

  10. REFRESHING - Mix with Peppermint in a sprizter bottle for a refreshing, cooling spritz when it's hot and muggy.

  11. BUGBITES - Apply directly on bite for some relief.

Lavender is the most beloved of all my oils.  It is one I definately don't leave home without.
